Christian's Baptism

We just wanted to announce that Christian will be baptized on Sunday, July 19th at 11am at EPIC Christian Church in Queen Creek. He is so excited about his decision and hope all who can be there will attend.

Great season of basketball

So, Christian finished his season of basketball and just loved it! He did great for being the little guy. I think he's found his sport. His team was 7 and 1 for the season and he just grew and learned so much in the sport. I was so excited each game to watch him, I couldn't contain myself! Can't wait for it all to start up again.

Cade's 5th Birthday

Cade had a great birthday today! He woke up this morning to tons of birthday cards with money inside and lots of gifts!!!! We then went to the swim park with all his favorite water slides, then off to McDonalds for lunch. We came home and baked a birthday cake together then went swimming again in our backyard. He said when he turned 5 he would take his arm floaties off for good and he DID!!!! He swam for hours all over the pool with no fear this time. We were practicing the last couple of days but he was really nervous. Today he did it and just jumped right in! I couldn't believe it. I think as soon as he turned 5 he just got this overnight confidence. So fun to watch. I think he'll sleep well tonight.

Claudia's birthday

We all had so much fun last Saturday for Claudia's 2nd birthday. We had a group of friends and family come to a local park on a very hot day. The kids had fun with the craft project of decorating their own water bottles so they could then spray each other the rest of the afternoon. It was a good way to cool off in the hot sun. Claudia had fun with her favorite cousins, Jolie and Paige. She even got her chocolate fix for the day with her chocolate cupcake! Thanks everyone for making her day so special.

A fun time was had by all at the Renaissance Festival! The boys had a blast. They added some new rides and slides for the kids, and the food was great as usual. I think I'll wait a few more years before we go back again though(A little too much eye candy for the children).

The boys went to their friends birthday party today and they got to go to the fire station and learn all about the fire trucks. They had so much fun. As you can tell, Christian likes to "pose". I have no trouble asking him to get into a picture.

Halloween Night

Halloween was great fun this year with Batman, a vampire, and Belle! Cade was The Hulk on Saturday but then decided to be even SCARIER on Halloween by going with the vampire idea. We walked around with a group of their little friends in the neighborhood and they made out pretty good. Gotta luv it!

Trunk or Treat

John's church Trunk or Treat was last night, so the kids dressed up in their costumes and were ready to go! We invited my friend and her two little girls and they all had a blast! Lot's of candy to be had by all. It's held at a farm with lots of land to roam and explore. What fun we had.

Ward Campout

Cade and Claudia just had their first camping expierience last weekend at John's church ward campout. We didn't realize that just Christian has been camping, so Cade was so excited (and a little scared, about John driving off the mountain and us running out of gas) Who knows where he get's that from? We had such a fun time. Although I got the short end of the stick when it came time for the sleeping arangements. Apparently you shouldn't try to fit a family of 5 in a two man tent. A little tight I would say. Well, at least the kids were comfortable, until Claudia decided to wake up at about 4:30am and not go back to sleep until she had both her brothers up with the rest of the campsite. I kept them contained until the sun rose, then I let them loose. I think I'll let John go with just the boys next time. Claudia and I will just go and get our nails done or something.

Ok, so it's still stinkin hot but the pool it too cold, so here we are agian playing with friends in the front yard. Cade's catching some air and Claudia is showing some cheek. Can't get enough of them......I know.

So.....is it bad when I make my kids stop having fun to pose and say cheese? I swear the picture with the three of them together took forever for me to get them all with their eyes open. You can tell they're like, "mom......ok....cheeeeeeeeese" !!!!!!! Are we done yet? They look pained. So, I had to stick one in of Claudia with a REAL smile.

So, Cade just finished watching the Disney movie The Little Vampire and now thinks vampires are the cooliest-soooooo John just had to bring home some teeth for him. He is now scaring all the little girls in the neighborhood for fun. Oh I can't wait for Halloween.

Look at this!!!! Spiky hair on Cade!!! This is a special moment in his life people. He's always wanted spiky hair like his brother Christian but if anyone knows Cades hair you know that it just lays down flat, it's so thick and course. This doo lasted about a minute so I'm glad I captured this moment to share.

Here is our sweet angel Claudia with her best friend Kamila who lives next door. She is sporting her first ponytail ever! Had to take a picture of this. Kamila has hair down to her shoulders already with two haircuts under her belt, and Claudia still just has the little flippies over her ears. We are very proud of this ponytail.(Sound familiar Meredith?)

My kids sure love their puppy Casper. Christian is sitting with him before his first hair cut. He looks so scruffy. Claudia is with him right after his day back at the dog groomer. He definatly is not a good client we were told. (I think that means I need to give a bigger tip next time).

Christian and Cade were so excited about our last big rain storm because they snuck out into the backyard with Casper and decided it would be a blast to jump and slide into all the mud puddles. Christian was still in his pajamas. The three of them look like wet rats(well mabey just the dog). Christian did a sweet air move with his gracefulness, where Cade just liked to slip and slide it right on his belly. A fun time had by all......till mom had to do laundry.

My boys have their chores they do around the house so they can get an allowance. Claudia decided she wanted a piece of that action, so she now is my little helper in the kitchen. She loves to unload the diswasher.

Claudia is so in love with her new pup Casper. He is so good with her too. He knows he can get goldfish crackers from her. She's the only one who will share with him so he treats her better than the boys. He knows where to go to get his fish supply from.

Claudia has 38 cousins on John's side and two cousins on my side. Here she is with her beautiful cousin Jolie. They love each other and are so sweet together. We only live 15 minutes from each other so we hope they will grow up to be close friends.

So, I am now a blogger! How exciting! I know, I know you can't believe it, me either! The Chapman family is growing and it's so fun having three children. Christian is 7 and in second grade, Cade is 4 and in pre-school and Claudia is 18 months. The new addition to the family, Casper our puppy, is 6 months old now.
